got to looking at wires and decided to feed direct Ground to the white wire that goes to the fuel pump connector. The pump comes on and cycles off like it is supposed to... remove the ground and nothing. so the problem is the pump is not getting ground. Looking at the wiring diagram the ground is provided to the pump solely by the fuel pump controller not the chassis. i swapped to another controller that came out of a working car and same issue... TWO BAD CONTROLLERS??? not likely... going to check the wire from the controller to the pump for continuity but i doubt thats the issue. I did mess around a bit the ignition switch, it is a bit loose... could that have something to do with it??
